The main task is not only to create the shell of the building, but also to harmoniously fit the building into the existing landscape and into the space of the future Magic Garden park, taking into account its image and philosophy.
To ensure this, the project implemented two main ideas:
1. Transformation of the box of a detached building into a landscape object, into an artificial relief that is operated and accessible to visitors. Turning the closed technology box into a popular and interesting public space, a point of attraction not only for iFarm visitors, but for all Nuanu residents.
The current layout of the building sets an unusual shape with height differences and different levels of the roof, with a patio. And the project proposes to make them exploitable and provide access to them with the help of stairs. This results in an interesting public space, inscribed in the terrain, which you can easily climb, sit on the stairs and admire the surrounding view, the space and the atmosphere inside.
2. Providing a canopy to protect users of public space from hot sunlight. To do this, a pergola with a canopy of living plants is created, which, with its shape, refers us to the elements of the bright identity of the island - rice terraces and the crown of the sacred Banyan tree. Vernonia Elliptica plants and similar plants are used, very popular in Bali. The pergola system is a pipe with soil and holes for greenery germination and built-in irrigation.
This openwork ornament of the canopy contrasts with the monumental stone base, which has rectangular shapes. The fundamental building made of volcanic stone symbolizes Mount Agung, the openwork canopy of living plants symbolizes the rice terraces on the slopes of the mountain and the sacred Banyan tree with a huge trunk and an openwork, picturesque, hanging crown. The building, in the likeness of a sacred tree, can become the main object of the garden.
